Quality & Testing

This page explains the terms used in Avivium batch documentation. Which methods apply to a given lot is stated in that lot’s record, not here.

HPLC

High-performance liquid chromatography separates components of a sample and is commonly used to report relative purity. Where a lot was analysed by HPLC, the batch record states it.

Mass spectrometry

Mass spectrometry measures molecular mass and is commonly used to support identity. Where reported, the result appears in the batch record.

Batch records

Each lot has its own record linking the product, lot number, test date, laboratory, methods and documents.

Lot numbers

A lot number identifies a specific production lot. It is how a vial is matched to the correct certificate.

COAs

A certificate of analysis reports the results for one lot. It is provided by the testing laboratory and published unaltered.

Archiving

Superseded lots are archived, not deleted. Searching a historical lot remains possible.

Reading a certificate

A certificate of analysis reports results for one lot at one point in time. Check that the lot number on the certificate matches the lot number on your vial. Where a result is not reported for a lot, it is not shown.

Where to look

Search Lab Results by product, SKU, lot or batch number. If a lot you hold is not listed, contact support with the lot number and your order number.
